Mama's time to play

(Before you read. i must warn you that i can NOT break out of writing in Rhyme due to reading so many Dr.Suess books with Bennett lately. So read on and laugh aloud when you see my vague rhyming pattern)

I want to remember as the skies are now gray.. that a few days ago i flew far away on a plane that took me miles from here. Friends by my side and no children to tend....our face felt hot sun and our feet felt warm sand. Our eyes saw blue ocean..and puffy white clouds... We took deep deep breaths, rested well and laughed loud. i felt the tug on my heart once again that perhaps GOD really loved me . To take me here away from the cold and de-thaw my heart among friends. Kindred spirits and bicycle rides..."squba deep conversations" and coming up for air...(and wine)..collecting seashells and new memories. and time. Time, time beautiful time.No hurry..no where to be. But also we felt the weight of age. We all had some aches and pains to tend and mend and feel yet again. This life is always fragile and hard. No matter where we try and escape to, we feel THIS SIDE of heaven. But life is also good . We ate well..fresh fruit and fresh greens, fresh herbs and created yummy things...I want to remember as the skies are now gray...that a few days ago i was free to play...and dig in the sand, feel earth in my hand, and think my own thoughts and go my own way. Mama's need this every now and again. To play. Esp. among some good friends.....

I felt relaxed just reading your blog...so glad you had a chance to breathe in creation, to share some time with dear friends, and to re-energize! Good for you.

Okay, I love this--especially the subversive rhyming!
