Happy Mothers Day to all the mama's out there. Esp. my mama, Sherry Ihrig. Who really is the best. Now that i'm a mommy, i'm realizing more and more the amazing qualities she holds and all the sacrifices she made for me. Noone in the world could give me peace and comfort like she could. She's always gentle and kind.... real and honest. Holds the best attitude of anyone i know. Loving. She still reaches out to me and shows me love....i still need her. I hope Bennett will always need me too.....
Here are a few recent reasons why...
1. Friday at the post office i was getting him out of his car seat when he put his hands together for a prayer and said "mommy, daddy, monkey, shrek and donkey Amen!"
2. He acts like you've just come home from war even if you've left the room for one minute....he yells with all his might "MOMMY..Hi!.....or "DADDY..HI"
3. During time outs in our closet due to bad behavior...i can hear him counting my shoes..." one, three, five, two, four"
4. He has the best giggle EVER...esp when daddy is chasing him.
5. He is such a BOY! making lion growling noises all the time....and loves his toy cars and planes. I keep a toy car in my car just to remember life shouldnt be take too seriously. But seriously enough...cause i have a treasure to take care of on this earth now...and his name is Bennett....and he is now crying "mommy" as he wakes from him nap

ohh Mandy, what a sweeeet post. I LOVE it!!! You are the perfect mom to little Bennett. I just loved seeing you interacting with him at Maggianos. You are so sweet, gentle, kind and FUNNY! I know that he's going to think you're the coolest mom ever. I just know it!

hey beautiful mama!!! somehow i missed a few of your posts. i LOVE your bird cage idea. its so lovely and so artistic. yes, life is so hard. so very hard that you just lie in bed at night and say, 'come lord jesus.'
parenting IS overwhelming isnt? and i have to remember each day that this is a SEASON, and i'll have to miss out on alot but its such a short season when you think of it. so glad you got to go to the beach. it was my good friend Jen whom you met! so fun isnt she??? love you friend!!!

Thank you for reminding me about the sweetest most simple things. I had the sweetest time with my mom on Sun. just sitting, laughing and feeling wanted. Oh how sweet. I miss you, wish I could see you at least once a week. Please hug Kristen for me and tell her thank you for allowing God to use her in a powerful way. And to you, thank you for sharing your voice(I love that voice), smile and encouragement. Happy belated Mother's day.
