In the midst

Snow man # 1......# 2 is coming...much biGGER

Zeal is loving all this snow

Snowy night walking on Shelby Bridge

Snowflakes mounting on top of each other...

Warm inside

Lots of sleigh rides with daddy

The groceries have been bought, stocked up and stored....again and again
The last load of laundry has been done ( and then necessarily done again...)
The days mount on top of the next like the warm t-shirts i fold...
Prayers asked for and prayed.
One on top of the other....the days come and go. No baby.
The readiness i feel is today getting hushed by the snow
steadily falling outside my window....lulling me to a sleepy lack of expectancy....
I go outside to feel the sting of cold on my face, walk long distances (over and over again.)
Herbs are taken....articles read...doctor's visits...calls to parents and friends...
Last moments before baby are cherished again and again...
Bennett is scooped up in my arms and dragged from place to place again..
I rest my nose on his nose and whisper "I love you"...again...and again as if something is about to change...
Readiness settles in deeper...... mounts higher.....like snowflakes on top snowflakes...
a little more each day....
in the midst of it all is peace and unrest....
A re-learning of the journey....not the end.
I keep waiting for the beginning...but waiting is a beginning.... a furthering of the bigger story and soon enough the story will unfold a little more.....
Cant wait to meet the new little fellow...hold him, see his features...his toes...
his hair?..What color?....what his name will be...
To carry on this journey alongside a new creation....a new gift in the midst of our journey...

Ok, that was a-mazing. Where do you find the words? Praying for you in this transition and for sweet Bennett too. I can't wait to hear about the next great Mann:)

Lovely little Mama. I am sending prayers your way. Beautiful thoughts. Thanks for sharing them.

I check your site almost daily like a long lost aunt who is also waiting for this little guy. I cannot wait until the blessing lay in your arms and you take that picture of big brother giving him a look see and a kiss.

Katherine is pasing like a cat asking about you. Our prayers continue and you are in our hearts and mind greatly.

Love ya to pieces, mean it!
